Elephone P9000 might be the first smartphone with deca-core Mediatek processor.
The deca-core Helio X20 (MTK6797) chip features a tri-cluster CPU configuration of two heavy duty Cortex-A72 cores clocked at 2.5GHz and a medium performance quad-core Cortex-A53 group clocked at 1.4 and 2.0GHz. The new handset is also equipped with Mali-T880 MP4 GPU.
Elephone P9000 is said to come with a 5.5-inch Full HD display with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels and 400 ppi pixel density. Other specs include 4 GB of RAM, 32 Gigabyte of internal storage but users can expand that amount up to 128 GB via MicroSD card slot.
The smartphone’s main camera will have a resolution of 16 MP while a front camera will be of 12 MP resolution. Though other sources claim that the camera characteristics will be 20.7 and 8MP. So, Elephone is likely to prepare two versions for different distribution markets.
Moreover Elephone P9000 offers Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-FI 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, capacity battery of 3,100 mAh. Technology GSM: GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz, WCDMA 850/900/1900/2100 MHz, LTE 800/1800/2100/2600 MHz. The handset will run Android 5.1.
