Vertu, a premium smartphone brand, has launched its new luxurious Signature Touch smartphone. The handset is an upgrade over its last year’s predecessor. According to Vertu, the new smartphone is the most powerful one in the brand history. Though this posh device is remarkable for its modern look and original design, it matches with high-end technical specifications, while other luxurious smartphones have rather poor technical performance.
The premium smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, clubbed with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory, which can be expanded to a huge 2TB via microSD card. It also features 5.15-inch Full HD display with the pixel density of the display of 428 ppi. The display is protected by a sapphire crystal glass capacitive touchscreen.
The Signature Touch smartphone is equipped with a 21-megapixel phase detection auto focus rear camera with dual-tone LED flash and 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera. The handset is backed by a 3160mAh Li-ion battery and features the Qualcomm QuickCharge 2.0 functionality. It supports cellular networks up to LTE Advance, wireless Wi-Fi 802.11 ac and NFC. The handset runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop.
The new Signature Touch smartphone comes in eight different leather body variants using titanium and sapphire glass. A special highlight of the smartphone is the metal Gull-Wing doors featuring a microSD card slot and a SIM card slot. Under the flap you can find the signature of the craftsman who was solely responsible for the handmade device.
The smartphone will go on sale in October 2015. The prices vary from $9900 to $20900 depending on choice of fine-finish.
