Panasonic introduces the Panasonic Toughbook CF-20 laptop that easily detaches to become a tablet. It has an IP65 and MIL-STD 810G dust- and water-resistance protection, meaning the device is fully protected from water and can survive even a heavy rain. Toughbook CF-20 comes with 10.1-inch display with WUXGA (1920x1200 px) resolution and a maximum brightness of 800cd/m2. What is more, the touchscreen can be used with gloves. In addition, there is the option of an IP55 Digitizer pen.
Powered by a 1.1GHz Intel Core m5-6Y57 vPro processor including Intel 515 HD graphics, the device also holds an internal storage of 256GB and an impressive 8GB of RAM. Toughbook CF-20 launces with a choice of operating systems: Windows 10 Pro and Windows 7. It also comes with 2MP front camera and 8MP rear camera, optional support of LTE and U-Blox GPS 8 for precise navigation.
Toughbook CF-20 is extremely practical: it weighs just 1.76kg all-in while the tablet itself weighs 950g and has a special carry handle. It accommodates two hot swappable batteries delivering a maximum of 14 hours uptime.
The new Panasonic device will ship in January 2016, starting at $3,000.
