Five years ago Google launched Google Glass – the futuristic gadget developed by Google X division – the company’s intellectual department where engineers develop way-out ideas. TP-Link Unveils the First Touch Screen Display Router

TP-Link has introduced its new Touch Screen Wi-Fi Router, making it simple to tap into the network not using devices such as smartphones, tabs or laptops. The only thing you need is to activate an in-built sensor display placed onto the faceplate and protected with a safety glass, and set the settings. The router features 4.3 inch capacitive touchscreen and is powered by 1GHz Dual-Core Processor. The Touch P5 router efficiently allocates bandwidth across its dual bands up to 600Mbps on the 2.4GHz band, which is very high rate for all the routers on the market. Its price is $200.

LG Introduces Its Lightest Projector

Gone are the days when projectors were associated with huge devices weighing several kilograms. A new generation of projectors, targeting users who want to take their large-scale media entertainment whenever they go is hitting the market now. Today it’s not a problem to find a tiny projector boasting powerful picture quality. One of the best models here is a new LG creation named Minibeam Nano.

LG’s smallest, lightest and most affordable projector weighs only 270 grams and measures 108 x 103 x 44 mm. The image size is up to 100 inches of 854 x 480 pixels resolution. LED lamp can project 100 lumens of brightness and a 100,000:1 contrast ratio. The Minibeam Nano displays rich and natural colors and is rated for 30,000 hours. It can play and project media directly from portable USB devices as well as from laptops and smartphones via Wi-Fi Direct. The Minibeam Nano also features an HDMI input. With a generous 3,800mAh battery, this small projector can play for up to two hours on battery power alone. Of course, the abovementioned technical characteristics are not the most impressive ones but don’t forget it’s a portable pocket projector. However there’s no info yet on pricing.

TP-Link and Google collaborate to introduce OnHub – a new brand wireless router. According to the developers, OnHub is a new kind of router designed to make Wi-Fi faster, more secure, and easy to use.
OnHub WiFi Router powered by smart software which provide users with reliable wireless connection and has an innovative antenna design. Thirteen OnHub’s antennas are arranged in a unique circular pattern that reduce interference effect and optimize the settings of network connection.
The Google On App being packed with the device helps to fix the settings and Wi-Fi connection control. 4 GB of internal memory are enough for installation of all the safety updates and new features. Moreover OnHub is designed to support such smart devices as for example a smart house because it includes Bluetooth Smart, Weave and 802.15.4 router. OnHub gives Wi-Fi at a speed of up to 1900 Mbps by supporting both 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies.

Dubai executives announced new invention – “Smart Palm trees”. This six-meter device aims to charge smartphones (up to 10 at once) and provide with wireless Internet. In addition to free internet access and device charging they provide multilanguage useful info about the city and even a weather forecast. Wi-Fi range stretches for 53 m.
