Japanese tech giant has recently announced the SF-G UHS-II SD card claiming it will be the world’s fastest one. The maximum write speed for the SF-G series will reach 299 MB/s, while the read speed will hit 300 MB/s. For comparison, Amazon’s current bestselling SD card can only handle 80 MB/s read and write speeds. The SF-G cards are waterproof, temperature resistant, shock proof and X-ray proof. The cards optimized for professional photographers, DSLR and mirrorless camera users will be available in 32GB, 64GB and 128GB variations.
Unfortunately Sony hasn’t released any pricing information on the SD cards yet but says the SF-G cards will be available sometime in March from the usual lineup of retailers.
