Gitex Shopper Spring edition is entering final hours of shopping and the discount deals are just getting better. Most retailers are dropping prices of laptops between Dh100 to Dh200 or adding additional bundles.

Gitex Shopper starts today and it's tipped to be yet another mega sale of smartphones and smartphones and smartphones.

The Spring edition of Gitex Shopper and Shopper Smart Living 2016 is running from 30 March – 2 April 2016 at Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC).

As Dubai witnesses another Gitex Shopper, retailers are bullish on the smartphone segment, with laptop convertibles expected to make a comeback.

Further fueling sales at the Shopper, which runs until Saturday at the Dubai World Trade Centre, are bundle offers, price drops on older smartphone models and travel vouchers that come just in time to plan that summer holiday.

The wait is almost over for tech fans and savvy shoppers eager to get their hands on the latest gadgets and smart home technologies at special deals as this year’s Gitex Shopper Spring and Shopper Smart Living get set to kick off tomorrow (Wednesday) at 11am at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

Came at 11 am.

Crowd: 5/10. Morning time is the best time to come.

Found new gadgets: 6/10. Was expecting more gadgets to be released at the opening.

Prices: 6/10. Lots of online shops will be selling same devices much cheaper

Exhibitors: 6/10. Lots of makers (Sony, Apple, Panasonic, MSI) and retailers (Axiom, Ecity) didn't appear this year at Gitex.

Raffles: 9/10. Lots of raffles and lots of chances to win excellent prizes

Atmosphere: 8/10.  Lots of entertainment

Access: 7/10. Got lost while trying to find the counters.  Spent 25 minutes while getting from parking to the exhibition.

Overall impression: 6.72/10.

Conclusion: 2014 Gitex was more attracting, however it is still worth of going there!
