With three kids and constant travel for work, John Hussey jumped at the chance to play an open-world adventure game like "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" anywhere, anytime.

After he heard about the Nintendo Switch, a hybrid game machine that works as both a console at home and a tablet on the go, Hussey ordered one in January even though it wouldn't arrive until Friday, whenNintendo's latest game machine debuts.

Everyone seems to know when the PS4.5 Neo is going to be unveiled. Everyone except Sony, apparently.

In June, The Wall Street Journal claimed that Sony would unveil both its 4K-ready gaming console and a slimmed down version of the PS4 at Tokyo Game Show (TGS).

While Activision has stated that we won't be seeing a sequel to shared world shooter Destiny anytime soon, information on the next expansion to the game has found its way onto the Internet. As per a thread posted on Reddit which shows the expansion's marketing materials, it is called Rise of Iron. The poster depicts Lord Saladin from Destiny's Iron Banner Player versus Player mode.

One of EA's top bosses has indicated that the company may be willing to release games, including its upcoming shooter Battlefield 1, on the Nintendo NX console, but only if it "makes sense".

In an interview with the BBC's Newsbeat, Patrick Söderlund, EA's Executive Vice President said that "if [releases on the console] makes sense for us - we'll be there."

The next Call of Duty game is coming on November 4th this year, under the title of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. The game's developer Infinity Ward seems to have been in a self-referential mood when picking the name, and the game itself is promised to be a "return to the roots of the franchise where large-scale war and cinematic, immersive military storytelling take center stage.

Last night Nintendo announced some big news: the company's next home console, code-named NX, will be launching globally in March 2017. That's a quick turnaround from the Wii U, which launched in November 2012. However, even though it's releasing in less than a year, we know very little about what the NX actually is. Nintendo has been very quiet about what the device will be, but thanks to a number of reports and rumors, we can at least piece together some details on the Wii U's successor.

We live under the eighth generation of video game consoles. With the exception of portable models, today at the world’s open market, as well as at the UAE market are exposed the Japanese Nintendo Wii U, Steam Machines released in 2016 and of course the most popular PlayStation 4 (PS4) and Xbox One. There are other ones, for instance OUYA based on Nvidia Tegra 3 with Android using open-source software but we will consider only the major.
